Can’t attend? Action Items

Do personal restrictions prevent you from attending?  You can still help!

  • Consider funding someone from your state to travel to DC and participate.
  • Poll people
    • Place the questions below into a poll, take it to the streets and ask people to take it. Or create an online poll and ask people to take it. There is a link to a pdf version below the questions. Here are some guidelines and the deadline:
      • If your state is lobbying, you should target a minimum of 100 people polled
      • If your state is not going to the event, you should target 1000 polled so that Greens can give that to their Congress/Senators as support.
      • Deadline is 12:00 midnight EST, March 25th, 2019 so we can process the findings.
  1. Are you a registered voter in the USA?
  2. Do you think that there is too much money involved in our election system today?
  3. Did you know that there is a law in the Federal Criminal Statutes that is being ignored which states: Giving anything of value to any candidate for office in order to influence their decisions is a punishable crime to the elected official and the entity offering it? Tittle 18 subsection 201
  4. Are you aware that by eliminating this money and funding all elections with public funds would actually save taxpayers money? It would, for several reasons: Because we would not be subsidizing costs for corporate profits, our lawmakers would not be in debt to their big donors and projects to improve the well-being of citizens would be easier to implement.
  5. Did you know that there is one national political party with all of their candidates refusing to take any  corporate, special interest PAC or dark money funds ? The Green Party.
  6. Would you like new parties to have an equal chance to give their ideas and solutions?
  7. Did you know that you can check this site to see who donates to candidates (www.opensecrets.org) and one that shows how members of Congress vote (www.congress.gov)?
